In a tragic incident late Saturday evening, a 36-year-old man lost his life following a severe car accident near Banzkow in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. According to police reports, the driver veered off the road between Plate and Banzkow for reasons yet unknown, colliding head-on with a tree around 10:30 PM.

Emergency services, including the Plate volunteer fire department, worked diligently to extricate the man from his severely damaged vehicle. Despite their efforts and immediate transportation to a hospital in Schwerin, the victim succumbed to his life-threatening injuries shortly after arrival.
